A modern remodel of a classic "Norman"-style 1920's home, the client's goal was to transition from the past to the present, taking cues from the original architect's subtle but modern architectural details. Featuring a relaxed mix of contemporary and complementary touches, this 1950-square foot remodel included an emphasis on modern European furniture and lighting fixtures. The focal point of the remodel was the opening of the kitchen to the rest of the house and to the expansive terraced gardens. The use of clean lines and warm textiles was contrasted with honest, industrial materials including concrete, stainless-steel hardware, wood and limestone floors, giving this home a unique and timeless appeal.
