West Seattle
Maintaining the historic character of this 6,000-square foot beachfront home, built in 1912, was one of the client's priorities, while bringing the interior promptly into the 21st Century. With western views across Puget Sound to Vashon Island and the Olympic Mountains, the client also wished to balance the serenity of extensive water views with the vibrancy of multiple active amenities and spaces designed for entertaining. Amenities included a large home theater, an extensive wine cellar, a home gym, a large party room and bar. An updated contemporary palette was used to blend seamlessly with the home's historic, built-in finishes.
