Youngstown Flats is a 180-unit mid-rise apartment building located in West Seattle’s Delridge neighborhood, at the convergence of a traditional low-rise residential district and a thriving industrial/commercial corridor.
The interiors were inspired by industrial materials and well as natural materials found in the Pacific Northwest. Finishes and materials include Corten steel, polished concrete, glass, natural woods and wall coverings. Units were designed to take advantage of the expansive views and natural light. The playful use of lighting and light fixtures, the incorporation of found objects and the use of natural materials translates into a ruggedly hip interior that is uniquely Seattle.
The entry lobby and main floor is designed as a vibrant, multi-use hub of activity, and features shuffleboard, café style seating, a fitness center and adjacent theater room. Youngstown Flats also features spectacular rooftop deck and Skylounge, which take advantage of the unobstructed views of the industrial waterfront, Elliott Bay and the Seattle Skyline.
