Developed by EQR, Cascade is the largest apartment complex in South Lake Union, featuring four mid-rise buildings and a total of 540 units. The interiors are decidedly urban, with a refined industrial vibe that reflects the neighborhood's heritage.
Robin Chell Design was retained to design the building's soaring main lobby, and to design and procure FF&E and artwork for the entire project. The main lobby features illuminated 3form panels and blackened steel in a curvilinear pattern. Custom rugs, murals and artwork reflect the themes and undertones of the Pacific Northwest, with imagery, patterns and tones that reflect the outdoors.
The building also features expansive outdoor terraces and a large ground floor plaza. Playful patterns and durable materials were considered for the outdoor FF&E. Indoor FFE included custom banquettes and tables.
