The Commons at Ballard is an 85-unit mixed-use project with ground floor retail and office spaces. It is Ballard’s first LEED Platinum community as well as the 2017 NAIOP Mixed-Use Development of the Year and 2017 MFE Green Building of the Year.
This boutique-scale project features luxury, condo-quality finishes such as Bosch appliances, gas ranges and air conditioning in all units. Kitchens include glass backsplashes, high-end pendants and large islands. Bathrooms have illuminated mirrors, custom vanities and fully tiled tub/shower surrounds. The units also have extensive built-in cabinetry in addition to walk-in closets and pantries.
A highlight is the multi-purpose sky lounge amenity, which includes a media room, a gaming area and a large kitchen/bar with liquor storage lockers and banquette seating. An indoor/outdoor fireplace visually connects a cozy indoor lounge area with the expansive rooftop deck showcasing views of the Ballard Locks and the Olympic Mountains.
RCD provided full interior design services, including space planning, finish selections, FF&E design, procurement and art selection.
