RCD designed the interior of the new 8,000 square foot library located in Duvall, Washington. The building, completed in August of 2012, received LEED SILVER Certification and features salvaged woods, weathered steel, a green roof and recycled and low VOC materials which all help to minimize the environmental footprint.
The library’s bold and brightly-colored children’s area offers a playful wall of reading cubbies for children to crawl in and read a book. Also featured are a teen zone, private study room, a community meeting room and a lobby which proudly exhibits local artist John Grade’s sculpture made of wood and resin.
